Relaunching TAGD

By Dave Tormey

After ten years as chief technology, information and security officer at Comtrac, I am relaunching TAGD Ventures as a small advisory and delivery practice.
The idea is simple. Plenty of organisations have a technology decision they cannot quite make, a programme that has stalled, or an AI pilot that has not turned into anything they can rely on. What they need is someone who has run production systems, sat across the table from auditors and owned the budget, to help them decide and then get it done.
What I will work on
Technology direction and investment cases. AI adoption that a security team can sign off. Independent architecture reviews. Programmes that have drifted and need a reset.
How I work
Fixed scope where I can, a written answer you can act on, and hands-on help with delivery rather than advice alone. Most of my work has been in government, law enforcement, regulated industries and engineering, where security and accountability are not optional, and that is where I expect most of TAGD’s work to be.
If any of that sounds like something you are dealing with, I would be glad to hear from you.
